What exactly is Zander Gray Drive? Zander Gray Drive is a powerful, mobile-first bookkeeping and mileage tracking app (powered by Hurdlr) that we provide to our clients at a firm-negotiated rate. It is designed specifically for solopreneurs in real estate to automate their taxes and bookkeeping.

Is this a DIY tool or does your firm manage it? This is a Software-Only license. You are responsible for linking your accounts and tagging your transactions. However, the app is designed to be so automated that it takes only minutes a week. If you decide you want us to take over the bookkeeping for you, you can easily upgrade to our Accelerator or Empire tiers.

 

How does it compare to QuickBooks Online? QBO is built for larger corporations and has become increasingly expensive (rising 30–50% in recent years). ZG Drive is streamlined for real estate, significantly easier to use, and locked in at a stable, affordable price of $20/month.

Security & Linking

Is it safe to link my bank account? Yes. We use bank-level 256-bit SSL encryption. The connection is "read-only," meaning the app can see transactions but cannot move money or change anything in your bank account. We use industry leaders like Plaid and Finicity (owned by Mastercard) to ensure your credentials are never stored.

 

What banks do you support? The app supports over 15,000 financial institutions. If you have a standard business or personal bank account or credit card in the U.S., it will almost certainly sync perfectly.

Tracking & Features

 

Does the mileage tracker drain my battery? The GPS engine is highly optimized for battery efficiency. It uses "low-power" location services to detect when you are moving at driving speeds and only activates high-precision GPS when a trip is actually occurring.

 

What if I forget to tag a transaction? No problem. The app will keep a list of "Unreviewed" transactions and trips. You can go back at any time—whether it’s at the end of the day or the end of the month—and swipe through them in seconds using the Speed Tagging feature.

 

Can I set up multiple businesses or properties? Yes! You can create different "Businesses" or "Tagging Rules" within the app to keep your Airbnb expenses separate from your fix-and-flip costs or your general real estate commissions.

Pricing & Billing

How am I billed? You will be billed directly by our firm using our automated billing system. You can choose a $20 monthly subscription or an annual plan for $200 (saving you $40/year).

 

What if I want to cancel? We don't believe in trap-door contracts. If you are on the monthly plan, you can cancel your subscription at any time with a 30-day written notice. You will retain access to your data export until the end of your billing cycle. If you choose the annual plan and decide it’s not for you within the first 30 days, we will issue a full refund. After 30 days, we do not offer pro-rated refunds for the annual plan; however, your account will remain active and fully accessible until the end of your 12-month term, at which point it will simply not renew. This allows you to export all your data for your year-end taxes.

Tax Reporting & Professional Hand-off

 

Does this subscription include my year-end tax return filing? No. Zander Gray Drive is a software-only subscription designed to help you track and organize your business data throughout the year. While we do not provide tax filing services for "Drive" subscribers, the app creates the exact reports your accountant needs to file your return quickly and accurately.

How do I give my data to my accountant? It’s a one-tap process. At the end of the year (or quarter), you can generate a "Tax Premium Report" directly from the app. This report summarizes your income, categorized expenses, and mileage into a clean PDF or Excel file. You can email this directly to your CPA or tax preparer, saving them hours of manual entry and potentially saving you money on your accounting bill.

 

What if I don’t have an accountant yet? Because your data will be perfectly organized in Zander Gray Drive, you’ll be in a great position to hire a professional. While our firm doesn't file returns for this specific tier, we are happy to provide a list of recommended professionals who are familiar with the ZG Drive format.

 

Does the app help with my quarterly estimated payments? Yes! Even though we don't file the forms for you, the app provides real-time Tax Projections and reminders for estimated tax payments. It estimates what you should set aside for federal and state taxes based on your current profit, so you aren't surprised by a large bill in April.

We want you to feel confident in your tools. By leveraging our firm’s partnership with Hurdlr, you gain access to a "Pro" level subscription—including automated mileage tracking, expense tagging, and real-time tax estimates—at our stable, predictable firm rate with Zander Gray Drive!

 

Terms of Service

​Nature of Relationship - Zander Gray (the "Firm") is a wholesale subscriber of Hurdlr. We are granting you (the "Client") a sub-license to use the software under our firm’s master account. The Firm is not the developer of the software and is not responsible for its technical uptime or core functionality.

 

No Professional Oversight - Please note that this fee is for the software license only. Unlike our higher service tiers, this entry-level subscription does not include bookkeeping, tax preparation, audit services, advisory services, support or manual data entry of your transactions. We do not verify your receipts or source documents, and we cannot guarantee that any transaction is legally deductible. The Firm is not responsible for any tax penalties or interest resulting from the Client’s reliance on the app's features including the "Real-Time Tax Estimates" without professional verification. The Firm does not provide technical support for the app or your hardware, such as phones or computers.

Data Responsibility – The Client remains solely responsible for the day-to-day entry and accuracy of transactions. It is the Client's responsibility to ensure bank and credit card feeds are connected and transactions are categorized. While the Firm may have "Advisor Access" to view your data, we are not required to review, audit, or correct your entries or transactions.

 

​Fees & Billing

  • Fees will be paid through our automated billing system.

  • Monthly Rate: $20.00 per month, billed in advance.

  • Annual Rate (Best Value): $200 billed annually ($16.67/mo equivalent).

Termination of Service

  • Cancel Anytime:

    • Clients on the monthly plan may cancel their subscription at any time by providing a written 30-day notice to Zander Gray using the form below.

    • If the Client chooses the annual plan and decide it’s not for you within the first 30 days, we will issue a full refund. After 30 days, we do not offer pro-rated refunds for the annual plan; however, your account will remain active and fully accessible until the end of your 12-month term, at which point it will simply not renew. This allows you to export all your data for your year-end taxes.

  • Non-Payment: Access to the Hurdlr app is contingent upon the timely payment of the $20/mo fee or the $200.00 annual rate. If payment is more than [15] days late, the Firm reserves the right to suspend or terminate your license.

  • Separation of Services: If you choose to cease your professional relationship with Zander Gray, your sub-license through our firm will be terminated. We will provide you with a [30]-day window to export your data or transition to a retail Hurdlr account at their current market rates.

  • Data Access: Upon termination, the Firm will provide a 30-day window to export your data, or you may choose to transition to a retail Hurdlr account at their current rates

 

Data Responsibility – The Client is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data entered into the app. While the Firm has "Advisor Access" to view your data, we are not required to review, audit, verify, or correct your entries as part of this licensing agreement. It is the Client's responsibility to ensure bank feeds are connected and transactions are categorized.

 

Limitation of Liability – The Firm provides the Hurdlr software "as-is." We are not liable for any data loss, banking synchronization errors, or calculation errors caused by the software. The Firm is not responsible for any tax penalties or interest resulting from the Client’s reliance on the app's "Real-Time Tax Estimates" without professional verification.

 

Privacy & Security – The Client’s data is stored on Hurdlr’s secure servers. By using this sub-license, the Client grants Zander Gray permission to access their financial data for the purposes of providing accounting support and oversight. Any support or oversight is not included in the fees and will be charged separately.

 

Pricing Adjustments – Zander Gray reserves the right to adjust the monthly licensing fee with [30] days' written notice to the Client.

Scope of Service - Zaner Gray willl provide you with:
